Sea otter was on the verge of extinction until the 20th century. They live in Alsaka, California and North Pacific. There was cold place so they fur have 6~8 hundred million for protect from cold. Many people catched sea otter for fur. Now, lows about sea otter was strict, so number is increase but another problem was happen.
Oil pollution Alaska In 1989, a lot of oil flows into the sea about 6,000 of sea otter died. If oil adhere to a hur, tempurature will fall and drown. Fishery They died by caught in a net or hang a fishhook. This case have hundreds of number every year. In 2006, about 73,000 of sea otter lived in Alaska. |
